The AADM Black Entrepreneurs Empowerment Fund (BEE Fund)
The BEE Fund is designed to provide financial support and resources to Black entrepreneurs in Athens and surrounding areas who seek to start or expand small businesses. The program aims to create a straightforward grant application and reporting process that minimizes barriers while maximizing impact.
Target Audience for Application:
- Aspiring entrepreneurs with a viable business idea.
- Small business owners seeking to expand their operations.
- Creatives, artists, and freelancers aiming to formalize or scale their businesses.
- Home-based businesses seeking growth opportunities.
- Business owners facing financial challenges due to systemic barriers.
Funds will be used to support a grant program offering financial assistance ranging from $500 to $2,500 to help Black entrepreneurs with start-up costs, expansion, and operational needs. Funding will also be used to provide financial literacy training, business coaching or consulting, and pop-up markets to empower entrepreneurs to manage and grow their businesses effectively.
