Join the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM) for a fun, interactive day of youth leadership, civic education, and community action!
As part of our Civil Rights Youth Leadership Program, young people will learn about the importance of voting, create encouraging signs, and take to the community to inspire others to participate in the democratic process.
What to Expect
Learn: Discover why voting rights and civic participation matter.
Create: Design positive, nonpartisan Get Out the Vote signs.
Take Action: Participate in a supervised community sign-waving activity.
Lead: Build confidence, teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
Connect: Meet other young people who want to make a difference.
No experience necessary! Just bring your energy, creativity, and willingness to get involved.
Who Can Participate? Youth and emerging leaders ages 13–17.
Important: This is a nonpartisan civic engagement event. We do not endorse or promote political parties or candidates. Parental or guardian consent is required for participants under 18.
