The Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM) will host an Athens Commissioner's Candidate Meet & Greet and Community Town Hall on Monday, March 9, 2026, providing community members an opportunity to hear directly from local candidates about their priorities, vision, and plans for the future of our community.

This public event is designed to help residents become more informed voters by learning where candidates stand on important local issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with candidates, and ask questions about the direction of our community. 

While much attention is often focused on mayoral races, local commissioners play a critical role in shaping policies and decisions that impact everyday life. This event will highlight the importance of local leadership and civic participation by connecting community members directly with candidates seeking to serve.

Includes 30 minute meet and greet and 90 minute Townhall.

This event is open to the public. Community members, voters, and local leaders are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and stay informed about the candidates seeking to represent them.

The Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement is committed to strengthening civic engagement and ensuring that residents have access to information that empowers them to make informed decisions at the ballot box.
