This is a critical moment for our community to come together and advocate for safe, affordable, and equitable housing in Athens. We are calling on residents, leaders, and allies to stand with us as we push for real solutions to the housing crisis impacting our most vulnerable neighbors.
During this Day of Action, we will:
Advocate for increased access to affordable housing
Demand stronger tenant protections and accountability for landlords
Share community stories and lived experiences
Mobilize support for AADM’s proposed Affordable Housing Ordinance
About the Ordinance:
We are asking like minded residents and organizations in Athens, GA to make a commitment to ensuring the policies presented in this document are passed and enforced at the state and local levels.

● Zoning changes i.e. Overlay districts
● Inclusionary Zoning
● Expanding the Homestead Exemption for seniors at a certain income level
