AADM GOTV YOUTH Initiative
Youth Canvassing. Civic Leadership. Community Impact.
The AADM Youth GOTV Initiative is a nonpartisan civic engagement program for young people ages 16–21 and a key part of our Civil Rights Youth Leadership Program.
Through hands-on training and direct community canvassing, youth learn how to engage residents, share accurate voter information, encourage civic participation, and help strengthen voter awareness in their communities.
Participants gain real-world experience in door-to-door outreach, public speaking, grassroots organizing, teamwork, leadership, and community engagement while learning about voting rights, civil rights history, and the importance of participating in the democratic process.
Our youth canvassers serve as trusted community messengers—helping residents understand how to register, where to find reliable election information, and why civic participation matters.
For youth ages 16–17, the program builds early civic knowledge and leadership skills. For youth ages 18–21, it creates opportunities to become informed voters, peer educators, and community advocates.
The goal is simple: prepare young people to lead, organize, and engage their communities—one conversation and one door at a time.
