TRAINING & Community Building

Through the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM) Training & Grassroots Community Building program, we equip individuals, community leaders, and organizations with the knowledge, skills, relationships, and resources needed to build stronger, safer, and more equitable communities.

AADM believes meaningful change begins with informed, connected, and empowered people. Our work goes beyond sharing information—we create opportunities for people to develop practical skills, build relationships, strengthen their leadership, and connect with others who are working to create positive change.

We offer practical, skills-based Know Your Rights workshops, leadership trainings, advocacy training, community conversations, and grassroots organizing opportunities that help participants understand their rights, navigate challenging situations, strengthen communication, develop leadership skills, and take meaningful action in their communities.

We also host workshops, cultural events, community gatherings, and other grassroots activities that bring people together, celebrate culture and community, create meaningful connections, and provide opportunities for residents to learn, share their experiences, build relationships, and engage around issues that matter to them.

Through virtual, mobile, and community-based sessions and events, AADM brings training and community-building directly to the people and communities most impacted by injustice. We create spaces where residents can learn from one another, identify community concerns, connect with resources, and develop collective solutions.

Whether you want to strengthen your team, expand community rights education, develop grassroots leaders, or help build a more connected and engaged community, request a Movement Leadership Institute training or join an upcoming AADM workshop, community gathering, or cultural event.
