This initiative is apart of the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement’s (AADM) ongoing End the School-to-Prison Pipeline (ESTPP) Initiative—a youth empowerment effort focused on creating positive pathways for students while addressing the systemic challenges that impact young people, families, and communities.

The AADM Youth Civil Rights Leadership Camp is an immersive leadership experience designed to equip middle and high school students with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to become leaders in their schools, communities, and beyond.

Through engaging workshops, interactive activities, guest speakers, team-building experiences, and hands-on learning, participants explore topics such as leadership, civic engagement, public speaking, conflict resolution, social justice, advocacy, financial literacy, career exploration, and community service.

Students will strengthen their communication skills, build meaningful friendships, develop critical thinking abilities, and discover how their voices can create positive change. Whether they aspire to be entrepreneurs, educators, artists, elected officials, or community advocates, this camp helps young people recognize their potential and prepares them to lead with purpose, integrity, and compassion.

The Youth Civil Rights Leadership Camp is part of AADM's ongoing End the School-to-Prison Pipeline (ESTPP) initiative, which creates positive pathways for youth while addressing systemic barriers that impact students and families.
