In honor of Athens Day of Jubilee, this will a special edition of Athens Black Market. May 4, 1865, was celebrated as the day of freedom for Athens slaves  — many of whom came from neighboring communities. “The day would come to be known, in Athens and elsewhere through the South, as the Day of Jubilee.”-Online Athens
