February 24 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

About Athens Run for Maud – Walk for Justice

Since 2020, the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM) has hosted an annual event to honor and celebrate the life of Ahmaud Arbery. This year we will host an official race, the the Athens Run for Maud 2.23 mile run/walk on Saturday, February 24th, 2024. Shortly after, we will also host an information session helping to raise awareness on citizen arrest and hate crime legislation. See race day itinerary towards the bottom of this page.

Individuals and teams are welcome to register using the form below. The registration cost is pay-what-you-can. Proceeds will benefit The Ahmaud Arbery Foundation, which supports mental health resources for Black boys, and the AADM End School To Prison Pipeline program. The AADM is not in charge of creating any teams. Participants must coordinate with others they would like to participate with on race day.
