Mothers Day Books and Bailouts

Support AADM Mothers Days Books and Bailouts

May 10th-9AM-4PM accepting book donations. 12PM-1PM “No Cash Bail” Lunch and Learn

To address the issue of mass incarceration, AADM will make an effort to bail out non-violent juvenile and adult offenders during the holidays, specifically Mothers Day, Fathers Day, & Christmas, in addition to advocate for “No Cash Ball.”  Being poor in America has become a crime and everyday citizens are being incarcerated or retained in jail because they do not have the cash to pay bail, fines, or legal fees.

June 2018, in collaboration with ACLU and various community leaders AADM hosted a series of smart justice round tables to educate the general public about No Cash Bail. Click here to read article.

April 2, 2019, several of AADM members and supporters attended the Mayor and Commission meeting to advocate for “No Cash Bail.” Through this effort, and ongoing awareness campaigns, eliminating Cash Bail will be considered by the Mayor and Commission. This is a small step in the right direction and the fight for No Cash Bail must continue. We need your support to help dismantle harmful systems, and eliminate cash bail.
