TSJ students participate in Wear Orange mural project

Over a period of three weeks, Teen Social Justice members worked with the local chapter of Moms Demand Action to create a moveable butterfly mural in support of #WearOrangeWeekend, dedicated to spreading awareness about gun violence prevention in our community. The teens used their creativity and imagination to paint images and words within the wings in support of the message “We CAN end gun violence” and to encourage our community to learn more about the issue of gun violence.

TSJ’s mural was publicly displayed on June 4th at the AADM Justice Center and the community was invited to take pictures in front of it, and post on social media with #WearOrange, @MomsDemand, and @aadmovement706.

The mural is still on display at the AADM Justice Center currently and will be available for pictures again during the space’s grand opening this upcoming Saturday, June 12.
