Athens Black Market and Cultural Experience

Athens, Ga – The Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement is excited to present the return of Athens Black Market and Cultural Experience starting Saturday, August 25th thru October 2018, 2-6pm at Creature Comforts  271 W Hancock Ave, Athens, GA 30601.

Athens Black Market is designed to empower black and minority business owners by providing a mobile marketplace in downtown Athens and to stimulate culture, diversity, and inclusion in Athens, Ga, and surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity for start-up and experienced business owners to connect with local consumers.

Athens Black Market and Cultural Experience include live performances, guest speakers, food, clothing, family-friendly vendors and a celebration of culture and heritage. Each month organizers will present a new theme and attendees will explore different cultures from hip-hop, the Caribbean to Latin Diaspora.

Vendors include:

Rashe’s Caribbean Cusine, Chalice’s Heavenly Inspire, Swadeshi Hand Crafts, Tea Time with Naomi, Marilyn Crochet, Athens Area Immigration Coalition and more…

Organizers believe  “Over a period of time, with the proper support, a business can achieve sustainability and serve a community’s need for job opportunities and tax revenue helping to reduce poverty rates.”

Vendors can register at AADM website www.aadmovement.org/athens-black-and-minority-market/ and submit your name, or for more information contact Mokah-Jasmine Johnson 706 389-4129.
